In chapter 10 of Romans God asks the question how are they to hear without someone preaching. We have been doing a bunch of preaching here in El Salvador. Each week we find ourselves preaching in small church plants all over the city we are in. To me it has been awesome to see the focus of the church here to really reach out to all peoples in their community, they are about sharing the gospel!

Each week we have one day of rest. Yesterday we were able to go to a beach here in El Salvador and it was pretty awesome. Yes we got to do some surfing and also all turned a few shades darker, but this was not what made the day memorable to me. I finally responded to Gods promoting me to share his good news in my broken spanish to a few young men on the beach. I really didn't say much to them, just made an introduction and then told them that God is love and that Jesus died to pay the price for their sin. A simple message with profound implications.
On this journey so far I am learning a lot, however most of my learning is coming through community and not through ministry, this isn't what I expected. Just like people will not be able to hear without someone preaching, I have begun to learn that in community people will not grow unless somebody speaks whats on their heart. The team and I have been growing a lot in speaking our hearts. Each night we make room to allow everyone to speak what they need to and over the past few weeks we have had to work through hurt, selfishness and also praises on how we see God working in one another. I am thankful for grace and for being in the position that I am in as team leader because God is really helping to reshape my heart through these situations.

I know this blog seems sort of random but that is what is happening here. please pray for unity on our team and also for all of us to be spirit led each day and each time we go to preach! Make sure to use the voice that God gave you, he will use all of us if we just speak! God bless.
