Hello everyone back home in America, or Guatemala or wherever you might be. God laid this blog on my heart last night and this could very well be the most important blog I ever write. This is the reason I’m on this trip! This is why I have a passion and love for these people and will give up my life to help them. This blog is about the Gospel. Usually, we tend to write about the race, what is going on in our life right now, or something we have learned. God wants me to write this for somebody and I don’t know whom, but if it brings my Father glory, I will write this.

Back when man was created, we had everything. We were made as beings to live with God forever but man screwed up to put it in simple terms. We broke the only law we were given. The consequence was separation from God forever. The eternal prison that was designed for Satan became our new home. We were cursed to a life of laboring, pain, bloodshed, and a loss of hope. We literally became God’s enemy and were rightfully suppose to take God’s wrath. God had a plan though. We have all heard this Bible verse probably at least once in our life. John 3:16-18 says,

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

When he says his son, he means Jesus! Let me tell you about my best friend, Jesus. Jesus (God) came to earth as a human born of a virgin. He lived a perfect, sinless life. At age 33, he was betrayed for money and given to the Romans. They brought him out in front of his people and they yelled out, “Crucify him! Crucify him!” Before this, Jesus had healed many of them, fed thousands of them, and loved all of them! But the religious leaders were corrupt. Even the Romans knew there was no fault to persecute him by. So they sentenced a blameless man to die on a cross… for nothing.

The Romans were skillfully trained to torcher and kill people. Before they killed Jesus, they mocked him beat him with the cat of nine tail. This was a device used for torture. It was a whip with nine ends. At the end was medal and pieces of bone, designed to tear the flesh from bone off the back. They hit him 39 times because hitting him anymore than that would end with death. In Isaiah, it says they also tore the beard from his face. Finally, they pushed a crown of thorns onto his head. After torture he carried the cross as far as he could go before collapsing and needing help. When they got to Golgotha, they nailed him to the cross and there he stayed for hours before finally dying.

Three days later the stone to his tomb was moved and the Son of God was gone! He presented himself to his disciples and he preached to hundreds before ascending to the right hand of God. He defeated death! He defeated the grave and He defeated sin once and for all! He took the wrath of God, what we rightfully deserved, and took it all on himself as a sacrifice. Jesus sacrificed himself so that we could live! He gave you an invitation. All you have to do is accept it and eternal life is given to you! You have to realize though, that the only way to the father is through Jesus Christ. You have to believe in your heart that Jesus died and then defeated the grave by rising three day later, and you have to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you will be saved! God loves you wants you to be his child so bad! Please, I urge you, I am begging you to think about this!

God Bless!
