Colossians 4:2 says ”Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”
Around my third month on the race God laid it on my heart to write lists of thankfulness about each country. At the time I did not realize how valuable these lists would be in the future countries and months on the race. You see these lists actively made me sit and see all the good that God was giving me at that very moment. It shifted my focus off of myself and my circumstances and put them on Him reminding me how much He loved me in all things He gave me during the month…week…day. It made me look for God’s blessings everyday in the big and small… the silly and important… even if I thought there were none.
It’s been through these last 3 months that the Lord has been teaching me about loving boldly and that I can not love others boldly unless I seek Christ out first and fix my eyes on Him. I can not love boldly unless I continue to pursue my relationship with Him. It is through the pursue of Him and knowing Him more intimately that the overflow will come.
So I would like to share with y’all my journal lists from the past 3 months and countries. Almost everyday throughout the month I would add to the lists. I am also sorry I can not give more context for each since that would make this blog way too long 🙂 HOWEVER the next time you see me… ask me more!
