I prepare.

So what do I need to do?

How can you help?

Please PRAY for me.  I am currently still at my teaching job until the end of the school year in May. So I am doing a balancing act. I have to tell you that I have felt overwhelmed but it’s a good overwhelmed. I have no doubt that this is where I am supposed to go. I am just a bit over analytical (as I have mentioned). I keep encouraging myself with the fact that it will all work out the way God means it to. I pray every day for His peace.

I am preparing myself spiritually. God didn’t call me to leave yesterday, today, or tomorrow. He told me to go in September and I truly believe that there are many things He will teach me up until my launch date. I welcome any encouragement you may have for me. It could be a favorite Bible verse or some words of wisdom, especially if you have served in the mission field.

Fundraising. As you might have noticed at the top of my blog, I need to raise over $16,000. This money will cover my food, lodging, travel arrangements among the different countries, training camp costs, set-up costs, debriefing cost, administrative costs, set-up costs, and medical insurance for the 11 months. If you feel led to help me with this aspect of my preparation, you can through the “Support me” tab. There are many different ways that you can contribute and I will discuss them in a future post.

My gear. While on the World Race I will carry all my belongings literally on my back. There is specific equipment that I need to get. I will be doing research and buying what I need. I will most likely ask for advice in future posts and post how you can help me with this part of my preparation.

My Squad 🙂 Many of you might be wondering WHO I will be going with, well so am I. I will meet my squad mates in July at training camp but I can get to know them now and so can you. Just click the “Meet My Squad” tab. I think it’s fanTAStik how God is bringing us together for the common purpose of furthering His kingdom by showing love to the people of Asia.

With love,

Paola
