Well hello! So I have found this section to be the most difficult to fill but I need to put any over thinking aside and just tell you about myself.
Okay here we go….
My name is Paola (pronounced Pow-la) Antenucci. My friends call me Pow. I am an American Latalian (Latina/Italian). My parents both immigrated from Italy to Venezuela at separate times. They met each other, fell in love, married, and had four adorable children (especially their last child). I am the youngest of four and the only girl 🙂 When I was four, my parents decided it would be best to move the family to the US. I loooove my family! I grew up and have lived in Deptford, New Jersey most of my life. I graduated from Rutgers University-Camden in 2007 and have been teaching high school Spanish since graduating. I recently relocated to Houston, Texas.
I was brought up in a Catholic household and at a young age I started learning and having an understanding of who God was and what the Bible taught. It was during my senior year of high school that I completely surrendered my heart to Jesus and started a personal relationship with Him. I LOVE Jesus! Everything hasn’t always turned out how I imagined it and that’s alright.
Random facts:
– I speak Spanish fluently and I am a novice with Italian
– I have family all over the world
– I love traveling
– I think Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks are the BEST
– I am a huge Judy Garland fan (and no the Wizard of Oz isn’t her best film)
– I am a huge Jane Austen fan (I read Pride and Prejudice every year)
– I can be impatient
– I can over analyze things
– I am a third degree blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (I WILL be a black belt someday even if it takes me 20 years!)
– I have the most beautiful and smartest nieces (6) and nephews (4)
– I have the most awesomest parents ever and I thank them for all that they sacrificed for their children
– I am beyond corny and love all things corny
– I became an American citizen at the age of 20 (Yep I took the test)
– I have what my friends call “paolaisms”. (I get English sayings wrong all the time like making a mountain out of an ant hill?!?!?!)
– I truly love people (I’m working on being better with the showing it part)
– I have the friendliest and cuddliest Chi named Corrina (She’s my BFF)
