Our team name is wonderful because it has so many different meanings, many of which are applicable to what we want our team to stand for. One of my favorite ways to look at ‘Pi’ is to understand its numerical equivalent, 3.1467… It is a never ending number with limitless possibilities. That is how I like to look at our team. We are a never ending unit with limitless possibilities. All of us are embarking on the biggest adventure of our lives. We have almost no clue what to expect and we are open to every possibility.
Another aspect of ‘Pi’ that fits us perfectly is to understand that if the diameter of a circle is equal to one, then the circumference of the circle is Pi. That means that if we as a team act as one, then we are a circular constant. That is exactly how I like to look at my team. We are one, we are a unit; and yet, we all bring different gifts to the table. As a whole, we are never ending, and yet we all hold the same goal of bringing glory to our Father in Heaven and spreading His love to the nations.
The day we spent coming up with our team name was one of my favorite days at training camp. I absolutely love my teammates and am so excited to start this life-changing adventure with them!
