The baggage I am carrying weighs 85 pounds but my heart is as light as a feather! In just an hour it will float up in the air, on my way to Peru! This makes me happy. It’s surreal! My prayers have been answered, I made it to the plane. I also have everything I need (and way more) in Jesus.
I was sent off with so many beautiful blessings and well wishes, thank you all for your love. Among these a most interesting statement “Hope you find what you are looking for.” I have already found Him! While this journey will undoubtedly be one of discovery it’s more of a response to the call of Christ, the Great Commission for ALL Christians. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
Since accepting Jesus as the King in my life I knew there would be a day when He would tell me I was ready to do what He asked of His first disciples. Leave everything behind and respond in obedience to what He asks of us all. Go and spread the good news. The world does not have a hold on me anymore so I can do this! The house, the car, the relationships I thought I needed…None of it has brought me into His presence, into this place of fellowship with my Savior as much as this. Throughout the past year since discovering the World Race, I have seen God move my mountains to place me right here. There is no peace like the peace of knowing you are exactly where you are supposed to be, doing exactly what you are supposed to do, when you are supposed to do it.
When I joined my squad in Atlanta a few days ago I felt at home with these amazing radicals who also love the Lord and want to follow Him as much as I do. I love them! I’m with great people, so Mom and all others who may have the tendency to worry, well, don’t worry be happy. We are setting out on an adventure together, we will do great things for the Kingdom. Please pray for us!
I have to go because we are boarding soon. About to step up to the next level in my walk, answering this call to new heights.
