Heads up! It’s Unsung Heroes Month!

We have an amazing opportunity this month to reach out to Nepal by finding those who are working without recognition in the Kingdom. We want to tell their stories, encourage them, let them know that someone sees what they’re doing, and potentially to send World Race teams to them in the future.

Unsung Heroes are men and women who are dedicated to serving some of the most impoverished populations in the world, yet rarely receive recognition for their dedication and service. These givers may also live with meager conditions but give consistently from an abundance of God’s love. Their names may not be in history books, their acts unknown to the rest of the world, but while unrecognized, they shake a generation and move a culture, and ultimately build the Kingdom.

We want to network to find those heroes this month, in order to support them with non-monetary help, and ultimately to share the love of God and advance their ministry’s good work. Several World Race teams in several countries around the world have set aside months to find these Unsung Heroes. Often, they find them in the poorest areas amongst the poorest of the poor. So what does that look like for my team? It looks like praying each day, going out into the community to find these heroes, and meeting with them to find out what they’re about. So be on the lookout for their stories to be on team “Anchor Wut” blogs! (We picked a hyper-spiritual name this team. 😉 Heehee!)

We’re in day two of this month, and where has the Lord led us so far? We’re staying in the home of a family whose niece I am friends with back home. Amazing, isn’t He?? You can help in this work by letting us know if you know of any Unsung Heroes in Nepal and asking the Lord to lead us. Many blessings from Kathmandu!
