Oh my goodness! I can't believe I have just 6 weeks before I head to the nations! Fund-raising was very encouraging this week! Nearly every day, God provided through a dear brother or sister in the Lord, and I feel so blessed. Thank you, everyone who has given, and you guys who are praying for me! God seems to move at a time that will catch my attention and set my eyes on Him, to remind me that I am dependent on Him.
My team and I are launching from Washington D.C. on January 4th, training for a few days, and then flying to our first destination: Costa Rica!
My team!…getting used to the squishy, new surroundings. 😉
Gabe, Devin, Jill, Caity, me (you might need a magnifying glass;) , Sara, and Aimee!
So it'll be a "Merry Christmas"…
the wedding of my dear friend and uncle…
and immediately following, I'll land in tropical Costa Rica!
These are the items I need:
– A plane ticket to Washington D.C.
– $250 for travel insurance
– $475 toward a travel-friendly computer
– $1,600 (roughly) for vaccinations, travel home at the end of the trip, and basic monthly living costs.
I have two separate funds, One is a personal fund and it goes to the items listed above. The other fund (under Adventures in Missions (AIM)) goes to the main fund for the $15,500 needed. I have received $5,400 toward my AIM fund, but the next deadline is December 15th. In order for funds to reach me before the deadline, AIM will need to receive checks by December 1st and online donations by December 10th. I need another $1,100 by December 15th.
