Adventures in Missions, the organization that heads up the World Race, has partnered with “Food for the Hungry”  to sponsor children in nearly 30 countries.   Food for the Hungry (FH) is a faith-based international relief and development organization serving the poor in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean.  AIM and FH work together to provide children with basic needs and to share the love of Jesus with them.

How nice…so what does that have to do with your blog and trip and stuff?

I’ll tell you in a second…

This child sponsorship program
  • provides clean water and economic structure
  • impacts families and their communities where racers serve
  • provides a quality education for children
  • shares Jesus with the “least of these”

Wonderful!  But kind of random…Why are you telling me this?
Just a sec…

The cool thing about sponsoring a child through Food for the Hungry is that you begin a relationship with him or her and bam! you’re a missionary from your own mail box!
Through consistent monthly support, letters, and prayers, you and your
sponsored child build a relationship that ministers to both of you. Your
sponsored child’s community will also experience lasting change. Plus it’s also really cool that you sponsor kids where World Racers minister!

Okay!  So I do think sponsoring children is great.  Thanks for telling me about this…  But how does that help you go on the World Race?

I’m glad you asked!

Each time a child is sponsored directly through the link on my blog,
I will receive a $50 scholarship toward the trip!  How cool is that?  Sponsoring a child costs $32 per month or $384 per year.  If you’ve ever
been interested in sponsoring a child, check out this program and see what you think!

See this link?  Don’t click on it cause nothing will happen.  BUT, if you click on the one that looks like it (over on the left side), it will take you to the site where you need to go.

Remember!  I only get the scholarship if you choose to sponsor a child directly through the link on my blog.
