Training camp is finished, and I feel so full of love for Jesus and for my “M Squad”! I was apprehensive when I arrived last Saturday because I wondered if we would have rough conditions pointlessly; but I found out that there was a great purpose for that! Being in difficult situations with my 55 squad-mates not only gave us an idea of what some living conditions are like overseas; it also created an incredible bond of dependence on each other! We love each other! We ate strange ethnic foods, scared scorpions out of our campground, slept in ridiculous situations, heard great teaching, worshiped the Lord, met our leaders, formed our teams; and I pulled a Daddy Long Legs off my face. Gross.

Squads get split into teams and sent to the same nations. So my team has seven people. I love them so much, and we feel ready to “hit the nations” together!

I can’t thank Jesus enough for such a wonderful week of growth and of soaking in His love! One night, a girl from another squad had a sore throat, so a few of us prayed for her. Then she looked up, and with clarity in her voice said, “It’s gone, guys!” We were amazed. The love of Jesus exuded from His Presence and through the leaders and racers all week, and I feel full.
On Friday I was surprised by a visit from Mark and Kathy, my dear friends from home. They recently moved to Georgia. In the last three years, they have been instrumental in helping me walk in God’s calling to travel to the nations, having been to many nations themselves. I was super glad to see them!

Thank you guys for praying for me this week!! The first two days were really difficult, but I know that some of you prayed, and it got a whole lot better from then on. Now I’m excited to go out and meet the nations. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! 🙂
