Walking the Streets of Jerusalem put some serious wear and tear on these brand new shoes! (And I went for quality!) A month later, I’m preparing for my next trip. This one “takes the cake”!
The World Race. Have you heard of it? Definition: a trip involving several young people who together serve the poor in eleven countries within eleven months.
Criteria: must know that whatever one does to the least of these, they have done to Jesus
Himself; must be ready to hold and help orphans, willing to live in mud huts and such things, have all belongings including bed and tent in backpack, miss family and friends, and take God’s hand while moving into uncomfortable places. And yet these are very desirable places because the poor live there.
The Race begins in January! My team and I will first train for a week in October. Then the journey begins in Africa (Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda), goes to Central America (Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras), and finishes in Asia (Nepal, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand). I’m excited because in going to these places, we will share Jesus with those who haven’t heard about Him yet! And they can take the Gospel to their own country. I hope to give them Bibles in their own languages as well. (I will post soon on how to support me for Bibles.)
