Let me tell you all something: $16,562 is an intimidating number. It’s actually a kind of terrifying, verging on the edge of impossible number for my human brain.
But let me tell you something else: our God is way bigger and more capable than our tiny human brains can comprehend. And I know, it’s become a cliché to say “but God is bigger,” but guess what, He is! When we actually stop our busy little bodies to think about that and let it sink in a little bit, all our little worries and doubts seem so ridiculous. The Creator of the universe loves us and will provide for us! That’s crazy amazing.
He has given us absolutely no reason not to trust that He will provide, so let’s start trusting.
Lao Tzu, famously said “A journey of a million miles begins with a single step.” So I shall start with one small step of trust and continue on stepping until five, short months from now (eeeek!) when my steps lead my team and I onto an airplane that will begin our journey.
Here’s a step: Change for Change.
I have eleven jars, each with the tag of one of the countries that I will be in next year. I need eleven people to claim a jar and commit to praying for that country for the next two months. Pray for the people there, for the hearts of the people my team and I will meet when we go there, for God to be preparing opportunities to spread His love and His message, and for anything else the Spirit leads you to pray for.
Along with praying, I’m asking you to go around your house in every nook and cranny to collect the change that you have lying around. Keep emptying your pockets, wallets, purses, etc. to fill up the jar, which I will collect and deposit into my World Race account in the beginning of October.
If you’d like to claim a jar comment below, call me, text me, etc. and I will get the jar of your choice to you.

Change is a small thing, but it will add up. More importantly, prayer is an easy thing to do that will make a tremendous impact on everyone that is involved.
So here’s to trusting that these small steps will add up to a leap of faith as I follow the Lord’s call to go to the nations and proclaim His name.
