Good Day All!!

I decided to start blogging again!!  I love to write and I have been encouraged by a good friend that my writing is powerful.  So I wanted to open up an opportunity to share my thoughts and keep you all informed on what is going on in my life.

Something really awesome has happened to me since I last wrote.  It is almost too awesome for words.  I am literally sitting in an apartment looking out my window at a mountain.  It happens to be a mountain in COLORADO!  Let me just tell you how this all came to be.
It all started back in Cambodia.  It was while helping at Agape school I realized that God had given me a passion for children and teaching.  I knew that month that I wanted to go back to school to become a teacher. That is when I began praying.  I remember the specific prayer went something like this, “God I want to learn again.”  It was that simple.  Inside I knew right as soon as I prayed this that it was done.  God had already laid the path.  It was a pretty cool feeling.

Of course as time went on, my prayers became more specific.  I started praying that I would be able to go to school.  God is a big God that can handle big prayers.  So I began praying that I could go to school in Colorado.  Why Colorado you ask?  Well, if I could go to school anywhere, Colorado is where I’d choose.  I am captivated by God’s beauty in his creation and I think mountains are spectacular.  So I began praying for Colorado.

Fast forward 6 months and I get home from the race.  It was a challenge adjusting to life back home.  It felt different.  I remember feeling this detached feeling to my hometown.  I knew I couldn’t stay there.  I also remember struggling a lot trying to figure out what to do with my life.  I had forgotten about my bold prayers from a few months back.

Cool thing with God is that He never forgets.  I was on Facebook one day before work and I noticed I had been tagged in a post on the alumni page.  I was curious so I clicked on it to investigate.  My good friend Ana, bless her heart, tagged me in a post of a World Racer looking for a roommate…..wait for it…. in Colorado.  I almost wanted to cry.  In the busyness of getting home and trying to figure out life I had forgotten about my dream.  To go to school in Colorado.

I saw before me a door.  I was hesitate to approach the door.  What if it wasn’t the right door?  What if this is a mistake?  I walked slowly towards the door and gave a little knock.

I sent a message and prayed.

“Please Lord, if this is not from you, please shut this door.”

I got a phone call.

The door opened a little and invited me in.

At this point I knew.  This door was from the Lord.  This was an answer to a prayer I had prayed nearly a year before.  I was shocked.  I almost couldn’t believe it.  I was going to move to Colorado.

I felt in this state of disbelief.  Like when a you see a little child open up a gift on Christmas morning, realizing it was the gift they had been asking for for months and finally it was there sitting in there lap.
I got the best Valentine’s Gift ever, on February 14, 2014 I arrived in Colorado.  With all my belongings packed in the bed of my little Chevy Colorado, and my Dad sitting next to me in the passenger seat, I pulled up to my new home.  I was greeted with the biggest hug ever and a warm smile by my new roommates.

God is so good.

Pray boldly.

No mountain is too big for our God.
