I want to be open with all of you about funds for my trip. I will keep this post updated on total funds raised so you can see how I am doing. I think you have a right to know since it is by you that I am able to go on this trip. Keep checking back and watch God work. 🙂
When I first knew I was going to go on this trip, I started a CD in the bank. I made sure I was getting the greatest possible rate, and I put the money away for 3 months. While it is was in there, earning interest, I continued saving a portion of my check each week and setting it aside. Once those three months were up, I added what I had saved and renewed my CD. The current up-to-date total for the money I have saved up on my own is $2,123.85. I will continue this save and renew method until I go, earning a little extra interest doesn't hurt. 🙂
