Pardon my vague posts. So here are all the answers to some of your questions:

Where are you?

I’m in America. Currently, I’m in New York but will soon be back in Texas. I’m praying through what the next step should be. I’m finding many opportunities open up in New York. It was my home for 3 years and I miss it so I’m leaning towards permanently moving there.

Why are you not on The World Race?

Read my last blog here. I ended up leaving the race and did not return. Once I left the second time, I did not feel like I could emotionally handle going back. Also, I felt like there must have been a reason as to why I had to leave once more that was bigger than just my ankle.

How is your ankle?

My ankle is still healing. When I went back onto the race, I had 5 open wounds. Now, the only ones that are not completely closed are on my ankle. After I visited the hospital in Mongolia, I left for America. I felt like it was my only choice. Once I visited my American doctor, I was told that my ankle was actually perfectly fine. Nothing wrong. Frustrating news since I had just flown across the world because I thought my ankle was infected. My doctor even gave me two thumbs up on the healing process.

It was bittersweet to hear that my ankle was fine. I’m grateful that my ankle is healing so well but at the same time, I felt like it was a huge fluke. I wish I had a reason to have left Mongolia. I did initially but my reason became invalid when I arrived. I’m trying to understand why things turned out the way they did. It’s a process.
