Hi I’m Olivia and the Holy Spirit and ice cream power me through life!!! If you have not heard yet, I will be taking a year off between high school and college to do missionary work in Thailand, Malawi and Guatemala! I am so excited to be going on the World Race, and am eager to let the Lord use me to love on His people through this experience. I frequently laugh and spend time with the people I love in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.
Being outdoors is one of the places I most see and feel God’s presence. His creations here on Earth are so magnificent and it awes me to think how much more He has in store for us to come in His heavenly kingdom! When I am not in the hills I am usually reading, hammocking, drawing, taking photos, singing/dancing or eating! Some random facts about me are:
I laugh more than the average human
I am terrified of bats
I have severe “hanger” symptoms when I get really hungry
I spend a lot of time admiring the sky
M&M’s are only good if they are mixed into popcorn
I love finding verses/quotes and writing them down
I get really silly when I’m tired
Squirrels and goats make me laugh every time I see them
I love rollercoasters and painting my fingernails maroon
I think eating meals with the people you love is very important
For those of you who don’t know me, I guess you will have to find out the rest as this journey continues ;-). I am very involved in the YoungLife ministry and love to plan clubs and get kids hyped about Jesus!! I think that is one of the reasons God has called me to the World Race, because I am so passionate about wanting others to experience this overflowing, joyful heart that can only come through a relationship with our heavenly Father. I am beyond excited for what is to come with these next months leading up to the World Race. Please keep my team and I in your prayers as we prepare for this heart and life changing experience.
