Where has all the time gone?
Life has been moving so fast lately.
As I still grasp the idea of being graduated from college I am struggling to grasp how I will be out of the country for almost a YEAR!
Dang! What am I going to do without all of my loved ones? Luckily, the Lord has placed me in such a loving squad for this year long mission trip. I haven't even met them in person yet and we are already a great family! They will not replace the loved ones I am leaving behind, but they will love on me just the same. Starting to say goodbyes this week was not fun.
Not being able to talk or see someone when I want to is going to be a challenge I am sure. I am excited to rely fully on the Lord for all of my needs as I should every day. The Lord is GREAT! So thankful for a merciful and loving Savior we serve.
I am trying my hardest to be as the disciples by leaving everything behind to follow Jesus. Yes, you don't have to go to a foreign country or leave everything behind to follow Him. But if He calls you to leave everything behind and follow Him well you better do it. What a blessing you receive when we obey! I have chopped my hair off (security blanket), I am selling practically all of my stuff and keeping just a little (AMAZING if you know me…you should see how little I have left), and leaving all of my emotional/spiritually baggage behind. Training camp will be a tough time. I will bring all of my baggage I have been holding onto and releasing it to Jesus so I can follow Him completely. Baggage is a great way for Satan to start weighing us down and keeping us from obeying the Lord's calling on our lives. Will you release your baggage?
On a lighter note. For my squad and myself, WE ARE GOING TO DOMINATE SQUAD WARS!!!! Let's do this!
- One more day until training camp and 6 weeks until we launch for God's mission for our lives!!!! Thank you for all who supported me. I wouldn't be able to experience this without your help. I still have a ways to go!! Keep us in your prayers! Love you all! God bless you!
