I’m learning its not a song
Its not hype
Its not a feeling
Its not acoustic
Its not an electric guitar
Its not the lights
Its not hymns
Its not the mood your in.
Its what I am.
WORSHIP.
Its not something I can enter and leave
It doesn’t start at 9AM or 7PM
Its constant
Its what I do at all hours of all days.
I am always worshiping something.
WORSHIP
Its pursuing the heart of God
Its intimacy
Its breathing back to him, what He first breathed into me
Its catching glimpses of His eyes
Its feeling the beat of His heart
Its knowing Him
Its being with Him
During the last couple weeks, and probably far before that, God has been creating something new. We call it the ‘Worship Track’, although it doesn’t yet have definition. It looks like a group of about 15 people coming together to explore the heart of God. We aren’t worship leaders, guitar players, or drummers….although some of us DO those things. We’re a group of people responding to Yahweh’s invitation to get intimate with Him. There are no real agendas, not much of a plan, just the expectation that when Gods people get together and wait for Him, He can’t help but show up! And He has. He sits with us, teaches us, and invites us to keep exploring. His Spirit moves freely. We are learning to be aware of His constant presence, learning that He is always sitting with us, and learning what it looks like to acknowledge that. What a dangerous weapon!
The forces of Hell are trembling. Demons are shuddering.
To long have they fooled us into thinking we are alone. To long have they tried to blind us from seeing the greatness of our God. But no more.
Father has invited us, and we have responded. They journey is just beginning. Stay tuned for more.
