Just a year ago I was squeezing my self between a mattress and a container of gas as we prepared for our four hour drive to our beloved orphanage in Postervialle, Bolivia.

Today I am working in The World Race department at Adventures.

As a part of The Center for Global Action (or CGA), I spend 3.5 hours every day doing the ‘behind the scene’ work that mobilizes the hundreds of World Racers that are sent out every year.

My heart was wrecked (in a good way) by my 11 months on the field, and it is a pleasure to be on the other side.

Having never worked in an office setting before, I didn’t know what to expect, but somehow the expectations I didn’t think I had were far exceeded. I love what I am doing here, and I fully believe in it.

During the second half of our day at CGA, we have the opportunity to be taught by some truly phenomenal people. Topics and discussions change day to day, but we’re going deep theologically, spiritually, and personally. It may be odd to say, but I am getting to know myself better. Learning my gifts, strengths, weaknesses, tendencies, and heaven forbid, even my ‘Myers Briggs’, has given me a clearer picture of how I was created and the calling God has put on my life. Along with that, diving deeper into the word of God has been like water to my soul. Oh, I long for more of His truths to wash over me.

I'm under no illusion that my community is perfect.
Here at Adventures, we have a culture of feedback.
We're always learning how to walk more in our identities as sons & daughters of God.
How to live and act more in the greatness to which He has called us.
We're far from perfect.
But the presence of God is all over this place.

The presence of God.
The Spirit of God.
The love of God.
The breath of God.
There's no exaggeration.
It's here, and thats all I want, so I say YES, I’m all in.
