Its not about The World Race……
Its about walking with Jesus day in and day out. Being His hands, His feet, His mouth piece, His ears,
every single day. Loving like He loved, serving like He served….sacrificially.

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.”

May I add, If I leave everything I have and everything I know in hopes to bring the gospel to the poorest of the poor but I have not love, I am nothing.  If I have not love with my family , If I have not love at my Job, If I have not love at my local grocery store. I can do any and every ‘great’ thing I want
but it in no way glorifies my Savior…and if it doesn’t glorify Him…then whats the point?!
With my ‘to-do’ list growing with all the things I need to do for the race…
I have been continually reminded that it’s not just about the upcoming year. The Lord has already
gone before and beautifully orchestrated every part of my time. There is no need to fret over…
getting a new passport,
scheduling my immunizations,
PAYING for my immunizations,
booking my flight,
researching and buying my gear,
ALL the fundraising,
following up with possible support partners,
and the list goes on.
Through all of this I need to rest in the Lord while still pressing forward with the knowledge that He is behind me enabling me and guiding me.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
