“Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.” Psalm 37:5
Trust and commit to the Lord, and he will do it.
He will do it.
It’s currently 2 am on a Sunday. I just got off facetime with one of my squadmates and we were talking about the trip as well as fundraising. I have found out, the more I talk about fundraising and the funds needed for this gap year, the more anxious and jittery I become. I am scared I won’t meet the goal but I shouldn’t be. That’s why from here on out I fully commit my fundraising, as well as everything I might not have committed until this point, to Christ.
“For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’ Isaiah 41:13
My rock and my anchor, my steadfast healer and comfort. In Him, all my troubles are calmed. In him my fears abolished. What do I have that I should not fully trust with Him? Author of the universe and Artist of the galaxies, my hope is with Him as well as my entire purpose.
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8
What am I doing with my life if I am not living for God? Mark 16:15 states: “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’” What about that says “worry about financial issues”? Matthew 18:19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” He is with you. Till the end of the age. Does that not give you chills? I am fully relying on God to meet my every need for that reason. He is with me until the end of the age, and with Him, I can move mountains. I was meant to move mountains, not to fear.
“On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.” Psalm 62:7
He is WITH ME.
Me.
1 in 7 billion.
And yet He is still with me and loves me more than the human mind can begin to imagine.
Who am I to question what He can do?
“It is he who made the earth by his power,
who established the world by his wisdom,
and by his understanding stretched out the heavens.” Jerimiah 10:12
He’s got this. He’s the maker. My Redeemer. My Savior. My King. My Passion. My Everything.
I love him.
He loves me.
I am fully committed to Jesus Christ.
“But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” Psalm 86:15
I am His, and He is mine.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
Here I am Lord, send me.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
