I cannot believe it's finally here… well almost. I'll be in DC with the rest of my squad on Tuesday. 6 days! I am so overwhelmed by all the support I have received from friends and family. It's unbelievable and definitely a testament to God's faithfulness.
Cool story… a girl I worked with this summer (which I wasn't even thinking that I would be able to get a job) started saving her tips to go towards something. She had been praying about where she was going to give them, and then she found out about my trip when I started working there. So on my last day she told me that she had something for me and handed me a check for the World Race! It's just soo awesome to see God moving and caring for His children.
AND… I've been contemplating all summer about getting a computer to bring with me on the race, because mine is heavy, and not the most reliable. I mentioned to a dear friend of mine that I had bought one, but I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it or not. Later that night she texted me that I should return the computer. I thought that she might have something up her sleeve, but what I got was a complete surprise. To my shock, they bought me an awesome, brand new computer!! I was pretty much speechless and then I cried pretty much all the way home from their home thinking about how God has showed up all along this journey. So it is on my new computer that I'm writing this and that you'll get to see this face through pictures, blogs, e-mails and skype ;D
I am so humbled by our awesome Creator and how He has specifically worked in my life this summer. I know that this is just the beginning of an incredible journey, and God will be teaching and humbling me throughout it.
