Greetings, from Washington D.C.
I’m here for this week, including July 4th.
We are at ‘Launch.’ This is where we launch new missionaries to their 11 months of missionary service in the nations. There’s about 170 new missionaries being launched out this week. They will split up into three groups, and go to three different continents, bringing God’s love with them.
I’ll specifically be overseeing 1 group, of 57 missionaries.
What an exciting time this is.
They come nervous….excited….everything….
One of my favorite questions to ask people when a big moment is going on, as the moment goes on is:
“Tell me in one word, descriptive word, how are you feeling right now?”
The responses are always so unique and very telling.
Today….this is what three of them said as we sat on the airport shuttle to our lodging location
“Scattered”
“Tired”
“Nervous”
They’ve stayed up till 4am in the morning, packing their lives into a big backpack, and trying to spend time with God to put on their armor for their launching to the nations and the battle that it is.
Therefore, here we are. A staff of a dozen, and we’ll spend the week here puting on Teachings/Worship/Trainings and much more.
If you take the time, I would appreciate your prayers that when I speak, it is the message of the Lord, and not my own flesh. But that he uses this body and voice of mine to deliver from my spirit to theirs, what they need from the Lord. Thank you so much!
