My
life was so
improved and impacted by being at training camp, and so have100+ other lives been changed for
God.

The craziness:

Below freeeezing several nights, soooo cold!
Awesome!

Tenting it, and waking up next to 4-inch long
stick bugs

Jedidiah saying “hoorah”  ….  Loved it!

Seeing 100+ lives open up to more of God

The Holy Spirit
being awakened
from its sleep in so many lives

Eating food from all over the world

Hearing my amazing new friends I love share their lives through
testimonies

Almost drowning (swimming, holding a log above
the head, trying to keep it dry – yep, the log won)

The dancing, and dancing, and dancing…sweetness

Preparing to live off of $8/day for food and lodging for a year

Being blown away by the beauty of Jesus in so

Preparing to be a Missionary at
training camp was met with many realities that I was looking forward to but did
not know how God would reveal himself through the ten days.

My eyes and ears were opened to the
power of God in these ways:

  1. the power
and necessity of intense intercessory prayer

  2. using the
power of God, in Jesus’ name, through the holy spirit, to heal, prophesy,
    interpret tongues
    , etc.

  3. the power
of Love.  God’s love in each other
bringing powerful unity of love to a body of believers

Two examples:

1 – Jedidiah and
I had the priveledge to be joined with Erin and Drew for our first night at
training.  It was then that Erin shared with us that her foot was in a cast ‘boot’ and she was definitely in pain, just coming off of surgery.
Towards the end of the night, Jedidiah and I decided that we would like
to pray each night before we went to bed in our tents for Erin and her
foot.  Each night, we would
pray.  One of my biggest smiles came
when Erin stood up towards the latter part of training camp and shared with all
the racers that the Lord had touched her foot and she had so much increased
faith in God.  Her story and smile were radiant.  She took off the
cast right there on the stage, awesome, and walked out her faith for the remainder of the
camp, bootless.  I smiled so big to
God for her, because through her prayers and faith, and the prayers and faith
of others, the power of God was able to work in her life.  All for the glory of God.

2 – One day we went to Gainesville to do
ministry
.  My awesome team
prayed beforehand and we wrote down what we might see/experience.  We wrote down painting, children, colors, food, supermarket, man broken needing inner
help.
  And guess what, God
rocks…David ended up painting the inside of church…we spoke with a child and
mother and shared God’s love…we shared God with a few men who were needing
inner help…and we met Matthew’, who was living here with his 25 year old son
but his wife and four other children were back in Guatemala.  He had not seen them for 6 years.  We prayed with him right there in the
thrift store, in between the clothes rack, encouraged his spirit in Jesus’ name,
and connected him with a local pastor.
As soon as David and I finished praying for him you could clearly see
his eyes glowing with thankfulness, maybe some tears, and a smile that was full
of the hope we spoke to him in prayer.
Thank you Lord 🙂

OVERALL…Training Camp was such a refreshing shower of God’s love in my life.  I walked into the experience with arms
and hands lifted high, in surrender, to a God that I knew was so much bigger
than I could imagine, one that I wanted to intimatly experience for those specific ten days.  I walked
away
from training camp, after many awesome occasions of being on my knees in tears, on my feet with eyes lifted high, and
in the air dancing for Jesus, with an immeasurable view of our God almighty.  God visibly and powerfully touched over
100 lives with empowerment, forgiveness, healing, freedom, life, truth,
boldness, courage, humbleness, surrender, and more.  God is yours to experience, he loves all his children.

Thank you Lord for this time of
refreshment, rock on!
