Are we running from place to place? Are we racing to a finish line? Is their any reward? What is the purpose of this whole trip? Why raise over $15,000 ? Why take 11 months of my life to go from country to country? What was it that moved me to do set out on such a quest?
These are all legitimate questions. Questions that I am not even fully sure of at this point. But I do plan to answer these questions for you as you follow along…
It was just several months ago when I came across the World Race website. It immediately began to move my spirit, I mean how could it not? Any of you who know me really well, which their aren't very many you would know that I don't want to work a 9-5 job. The main page of the World Race website says, " Thier is more to life than empty traditions, routines, and working 9-5". Do you ever feel like that? I know I do. Ever since I really began living out the Christian life and believing in the Lord I knew I was meant for somthing so much bigger than the same old life style before my conversion. I mean I understand that most people cannot just take off like this and go travel the world for Jesus, I realize this but at the same time, their is somthing in me that tells me to go. And as it is I do not have anything to hold me back. I don't have kids, I am not in any debt, and I don't have any relationship status that would hinder me in anyway. I feel like the Lord has been preparing me for this all my life. I see this trip as an amazing oppurtunity to go outside this country and share Jesus with people who have never even heard of this Christ Jesus! I am humbled at such a calling for the next 11 months of my life. I am thankful for you, and being a part of my life in whatever way you have. My prayer for you reading this and you who will follow me for the next year that you would allow the Lord to do mighty things in your life, even when they seem routinely and mundane. The Lord is with you and I challenge you to be a part of whatever community it is that you live and if your desire is to do world missions then ask Him to send you, ask Him to open the doors for you and then wait and see!
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
