In case you haven’t heard, I have officially changed to the World Race ~ Human Trafficking edition. In response to your questions, I offer the following answers:
Why did you switch? For the last year, the Lord has been leading me and growing me in the Justice field. As much as I wanted to go for 11 months, hang out in 11 countries and have experiences in many different areas, the Lord reigned me in and reminded me to keep my focus…and not draw back from it. Isaiah 5-:4-5

What are you going to do in the meantime? I am moving back to Minnesota, going to start school in a couple of weeks and begin my journey to the other thing the Lord has called me to – Art Therapy.
Where are you going for the new trip? Cambodia, Thailand, India and we’re also going to be doing some work in the U.S. Beyond that, I don’t have specifics about what cities or when or how long we’ll be anywhere.
How long will you be gone? 5 months. We leave the beginning of January and return home the end of May, 2011.
Still going to be living in a tent/out of a backpack? Yes and yes. But, (as far as I know) we’re not going to be livin’ in a van down by the river.
What can I do to help? I am SO glad you asked! Pray pray and pray some more! Second most important~ pray. Third, click on the ‘support me’ link and donate some moolah. I have to raise $7500 for the trip. Fourth, go to www.betherace.com and buy an awesome t-shirt. Fifth…pray!
When is your next fundraiser? Well…there isn’t going to be one! The only ‘fundraising’ that’s technically going on is the t-shirt sales. (If you don’t want to buy one onlline, call me and I can get it to you!). In this case, financially, I am putting all my eggs in God’s basket. I will absolutely talk anybody’s ear off about the trip, but the only person I’m asking money of is the Lord. 🙂 He is growing in me trust and faith and more trust and more faith! And, that starts now! He is Jehovah Jireh…my provider.
Why do you wear your hair like that? Because nobody has hair like mine and I have to embrace that.
How in the name of all that is holy can you leave an awesome place like Cincinnati? As the bumpersticker says, I LOVE CINCINNATI. Always will. But, when the Lord wants me somewhere, I’m going to follow. You can take it up with Him. (And, I’m only an 1 1/2 hour flight away…)
But…Crossroads is here, your community is here… Don’t you think I know that? But, since the inventions of the mutually awesome, yet sometimes annoying cell phone, I’m only a few button presses away. (And, I mentioned the 1 1/2 hour flight, right?) Plus, you, my lovlies, have an open invitation to come and visit the land of 10,000 lakes whenever you would like…but, I would recommend doing so before December…it gets a little chilly up there in the north country. It also gives me an opportunity to get engaged with a whole new community and meet a whole slew of new people. Exciting!
