People of love rise…give yourself away…
There’s a fabulous song by Robbie Seay Band called Rise.  It’s pretty much a call to arms, for people to rise up, in the name of Jesus and be willing to give what you are, your whole self to God and His purpose.  To hear the call, and answer, is to give your life away -all you find comfortable, familiar, secure – and do whatever He wants, no matter how crazy, how unconventional, how not ‘normal’ it is.
Isaiah 60:1-3
Arise, shine, for your light has come,
       and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
  See, darkness covers the earth
       and thick darkness is over the peoples,
       but the LORD rises upon you
       and his glory appears over you.
 Nations will come to your light,
       and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

My mom said something interesting to me the other day.  “I may not always understand what you do, but I always love you.”  It has really stuck in my head.  It is very true that I tend to knock over my parents with some of my choices, some of the ways that I feel led are rather unconventional.  But, thankfully, once they get over the shock, they love me and worry about me and support me, however they can.  (And, no matter what I thought the response was going to be to informing them of leaving on the WR, my dad’s was the best…at mom’s prompting-don’t you have any questions for her?- his reply…Yeah.  What countries do you get to go to?)
There have been so many and so few times that God has called me to the outrageous…or what some people would call outrageous.  I happen to enjoy outrageous ~ that’s usually how I know God is speaking directly to me!  He knows us, He created us, He speaks our language.  He made us for specific purposes and He wants us to enjoy those purposes!  The heart He gave me is for the unconventional with a heaping side of adventure.  And, I praise Him for using it in a big way with this, the biggest adventure I’ve ever been on.
Psalm 20
May the LORD answer you when you are in distress;
      may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
 May he send you help from the sanctuary
       and grant you support from Zion.
 May he remember all your sacrifices
       and accept your burnt offerings.
May he give you the desire of your heart
       and make all your plans succeed.
 We will shout for joy when you are victorious
       and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
       May the LORD grant all your requests.
Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;
       he answers him from his holy heaven
       with the saving power of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
       but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall,
       but we rise up and stand firm.
O LORD, save the king!
       Answer us when we call!
People of love~RISE!
