It’s the “s” word!!!!
Ha…I mean “support”!  As you may or may not know, I am a bookworm.  I love words and phrases and books and writing.  So, here’s a little definition from my pal Webster (and I don’t mean the little dude from the tv show…who remembers George and Ma’am?  Ah, memories….)
Support:  (the verb defintion…)
a(1) : to promote the interests or cause of (2) : to uphold or defend as valid or right: advocate <supports fair play> (3) : to argue or vote for <supported the motion to lower taxes>b (1) : assist, help <bombers supported the ground troops> (2) : to act with (a star actor) (3) : to bid in bridge so as to show support for c : to provide with substantiation: corroborate <support an alibi>
4a : to hold up or serve as a foundation or prop for  b: to maintain (a price) at a desired level by purchases or loans
5 : to keep from fainting, yielding or losing courage : comfort
6 : to keep (something) going
synonyms support, uphold, advocate, back, champion ~ mean to favor actively one that meets opposition.  uphold ~ implies extended support given to something attacked.  advocate ~ stresses urging or pleading.  back ~ suggests supporting by lending assistance to one failing or falling.  champion ~ suggests publicly defending on unjustly attacked or too weat to advocate his or her own cause.

Two things that jump out at me:
1. #6 in the definiton ~ to keep (something ~ or in this case…someone) going.  I need that more than I need anything else.   I know the Lord has called me to this.  He has confirmed it in more ways than I could have ever imagined.  But, I still need to be kept going.  I know I’m going to be tired and broken and hurting and, well, let’s face it…facing hopelessness around a whole bunch of corners.  And, I need you to help keep me going.  Prayers (the biggest thing I’m asking from you!) are NECESSARY!  They are the air that will sustain life during this journey!  But, also, please contact me!  Support me verbally (or, emailly ~ lol!), leave messages on facebook and just let me know wassup, definitely send any words or scripture you believe is from the Lord or just fill me in on your life. I love it all! 🙂  Which segues nicely to…
2. Champion.  We are going to champion the heart of the Lord.  It’s listed twice in synonyms ~ favor actively one that meets opposition; suggests publicly defending on unjustly attacked or too weak to advocate his or her own cause.  Opposition and weakness.  I was going to start with a bunch of scriptures here, but am being prompted to list only one (expect the next post to be all about opposition and weakness!):
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.  Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.  But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you , for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.  For when I am weak, then I am strong.
I am pleading, in my weakness, to ask for champions.  To let everybody know that I am weak and I need help.  God’s power is made perfect in me because I am a weak, flawed person.  Join me, all who are weak, and be a champion with me through God’s power!
