At our last debrief one of the AIM staff pointed out how our squad loved to have fun while bringing the Kingdom… in essence, ‘We like to party!‘. This month has proved no different for my team as we’ve traveled throughout Eastern Malaysia.
Our ministry this month is basically just partnering with different pastors and helping them serve wherever they go. Just this first week alone we’ve preached, taught English classes, held a Bible study, yelled declarations on a prayer mountain, participated in door to door evangelism, and had a midnight prayer service at a future sight for a community center/ children’s home. We never know what each day holds for us… there’s definitely no better ministry to knock you into dependency on God and your team!
This past Monday night we went with Pastor Yesudason to help with a monthly food distribution in a nearby community. About halfway into our time there, He asked us to go on a prayer walk throughout the neighborhood. As we walked around, one of the Hindu families invited us to come inside. Within about 10 minutes with them, we realized we had basically just crashed a birthday party for their 19-year old son!
After having three rounds of food and drinks, the family asked us to pray for healing for their teenage daughter who had been having severe throat pain anytime she swallowed anything. After praying, the pain was gone and before we knew it, we were praying for any and everyone at the house that had some type of physical ailment… In fact, they even started getting their friends and neighbors to come over. Within the next 30 minutes we saw a woman with constant hip pain for the past 3 years become healed, a respiratory infection clear up, torn ligaments in a knee completely realign with full movement restored, and a severe headache completely disappear.
That night was ridiculously awesome… it was seriously something out of the New Testament! The Kingdom was came alive right in front of us and definitely made this one birthday party I will never forget!!!
