MERRY CHRISTMAS

-from Thailand-

…so I think to share with you a little of how this glorious holiday was celebrated by myself and my squad here in Thailand we’re going to play a little game of never ever have I ever…

Never ever have I ever…

…gotten sunburned on Christmas Eve

…slept on the floor the night of Christmas in a room with eight other girls.

…NOT watched the 24hrs of The Christmas Story

…woken up on Christmas morning to a fan on my face and every door and window open in attempts to stay cool-ish

…rushed downstairs in the morning to my paper stocking

…had a ‘EXTREMELY LIBERATED’ Christmas pancake breakfast (X-stream team and my team!)

…made a David & Goliath gingerbread house
…sweated SO much in my ENTIRE life

…celebrated Christmas with nearly a hundred people

…had a BBQ on the beach

…experienced 90+ degree weather

…had a natural tan

…worn shorts and a tank top

…worshiped outside in the hot sunshine

…done a photo scavenger hunt

…won said scavenger hunt

…missed my family and friends so much

…missed the cold winter weather of Washington oh-SO much!

…been so grateful for all Gods blessings, here and at home

On CHRISTMAS!

Never ever have I ever…

…rejoiced for the glorious gift God gave us on this day like I did this Christmas

…Never ever have I ever..

…experienced Christmas in Thailand, on the World Race with the most amazing squad ever…

..until this year that is.

This year Christmas was the most unlike Christmas I’ve ever experienced and minus the loss of family and friends it has been one of the best!

Thank you ou’R’ squad and thank you Chelsea & Ashley for making this Christmas so special. Thank you daddy & grandma and mom & Jess for being on skype so I could talk with you and see your lovely faces that I miss oh-so much. Thank you to all my friends who sent me Christmas encouragement and love.

Most of all though- thank you Father for the most precious gift anyone could give- and through that gift of your son Jesus and His sacrifice made on the cross for us we are walking in freedom this holiday season.

Thank you Jesus.
