I had a nice, long post written out but my crazy fingers accidently deleted it! argh!! oh the joys of blogging! So this post, will be a small version of what I had written earlier!
"Dear future me"
As I sit here in comfort in my apartment on Canadian Thanksgiving today, I can not help but think to where I will be a year from now, or the many feelings and emotions I will have already experienced. if I know myself (which I think I do fairly well) I will be asking myself at some point or another on the trip (maybe even multiple times). Remember- I KNOW THAT GOD HAS CALLED ME TO THIS TRIP, TO THIS EXPERIENCE THAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!
Remember to Breathe. He's got this Nikki. He is holding YOU in HIS arms.
I realize that you are probably scared. Homesick. Worried. Unsure. and wondering "what one earth am I doing on this trip?!?" Relax. God has given you a GREAT team to share in this experience with you. You are all in the 'same boat'' lean on each other. Lean especially God. Don't let go of His hands.
I am quite sure that you are thinking in your head right now.."but 'past me' it is SO easy for you to write that where you are now. You are at home, with family and just had an amazing weekend with friends. You have another year of youth ministry ahead of you still and life is good.

and, to my present self writing this blog right now, enjoy the moment, enjoy the people you are with now, cause I miss these things and so much more!!!!"
Fear NOT future self. God CREATED YOU for a MUCH greater purpose!! Who knows what amazing things you have seen/experienced already on this trip. God did not say "GO and I shall remain here without you"…in fact HE said "GO, for I AM WITH YOU!!"

Look at all the amazing things God has done so far on this trip!! Its been crazy awesome! Look at the awesome people that HE has blessed you with to travel and walk along side you.
