Saturday we will be leaving Guatemala City with the rest of the L Squad on a 17 hour bus ride to Managua, Nicaragua!

From there, my team REV 217 will be partnered with Team Jubilee in Ometepe, Nicaragua at the Cicrin Orphanage!  The orphanage is in a community center/compound on an island in the middle of the Nicaragua lake, and they have worked with World Race teams in the past.

Ministry here will include orphanage care, construction projects, help in the kitchen, small infant care, as well as a garden project!  We will also partner with the local church to serve in several different evangelical ministries, including preaching opportunities!

It sounds like most, if not everything we do, will be centered inside this compound community, and I’m really looking forward to jumping in!

Living conditions will either be in a dorm setting or camping… we’ll find out when we get there. 🙂  I’ll have electricity, but no internet, so blogs will hopefully be posted on the weekends when we go into town!  We’ve been pretty spoiled here in Antigua, Guatemala… so hand washing our clothes, cold showers, plenty of humidity and heat will definitely be a fun adventure this month. 🙂

Pray for our squad’s protection as we travel this weekend, as well as for awesome fellowship as we share our past months experiences (on the 17 hour bus ride) with each other and begin preparing our hearts for next month!  Pray for the communities we’re about to go to, that God will begin preparing the soil for the harvest!!

Love you guys!
