Friday night, my family surprised me with a Flash Forward Party!

I don’t know if you watch the new tv series called “Flash Forward,” but basically the whole show revolves around a world wide “black out” where everyone passed out for 20 seconds and had a “flash forward” glimpse of the future that has the world in a crazy state.   Anyhow, we enjoy watching the show… and it gave mom the idea to have a surprise party celebrating all the holidays I would be away from home this year!  I opened the door (thinking we were just having dinner at aunties) and everyone started singing happy birthday!  We had an AMAZING fiesta meal with green chicken enchiladas and tortilla soup!

FLASH FOWARD:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Auntie Kathy brought out Christmas decorations, and we all gathered around the piano and sang Christmas Carols!  Uncle Russ played the piano and I sang…. just like every year!  It was SO precious.  I really got emotional at that point (although I think I hid it pretty well).  This will be my first Christmas away from home, and it was so special to have that moment to remember when I’m overseas!

FLASH FORWARD: Happy New Years!  Countdown. πŸ™‚

FLASH FORWARD: Happy Valentines Day!
We had yellow cake with chocolate frosting (my fav, and a bday tradition, too πŸ™‚  I told Uncle Russ to play a Tango and made my brother, Derek, dance through the living room with me. πŸ™‚  It was hilarious!

FLASH FORWARD: Happy St. Patty’s Day! (more dancing…)

FLASH FORWARD: Cinco de Mayo!  Definitely played a little salsa music. πŸ™‚

I’m so blessed by my family.  I hope and pray God uses me in this same way to love my team as family this year, just like you all have shown me by example!   As a family, I know we will work together to share the love of Christ with all those we meet!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
