well, i made it to launch! just wanted to update y'all on where i am and what i'm doing 🙂
i arrived yesterday evening withh all of the coaches, squad coordinators, squad leaders, team leaders, logistics people, and finance people. last night and this morning/afternoon we had some sessions about what it does and doesn't mean to be a team leader.
then tonight the rest of the squad got here!
it's so fun to be reunited with everyone and feel like this thing is really starting!
it's sort of surreal. i feel excited…but not like i'm about to leave the country for 11 months. maybe it will hit me once the plane is taking off.
we will be here in DC/dulles for the next couple days having sessions and preparing to leave.
on friday at 330 pm our plane takes off for ecuador! until then i am cherrishing my comfy hotel bed and warm showers and hot coffee!!
