The alarm went off at precisely 6:30am. This provided me with just enough time take a shower, pack my bag, and gather myself together before heading off for my last breakfast at training camp. Saying good-bye or rather see-you-later was full of mixed emotions. A sense of sorrow was felt as I left the people who became my family behind, people whom just 10 days ago were strangers. However, an overwhelming sense of happiness came over me as I thought of the cold showers, interesting food choices, lack of heat, and clay staining mud was also left behind. YEAHHH!!!!!!
After a long 12 hour trip I finally arrived to my home-town and embraced my pillow with much ease (please remind me again why I said driving would be a good idea). Training camp was intense and a rough experience, but I wouldn’t trade it in for anything!!!

Training camp was:

a requirement to get you ready for the world race

a place to instill in you what is necessary to equip you for what lies ahead

         a journey of struggles

         a journey of heart aches

a giving up of expectations you had

a giving up of expectations you never thought you had

         a place to hear God

a living life of the unknown

a place to let the tears flow

         a place to dance

         a beginning
