Ministry in Honduras pt.2

So exactly what are we doing on a day-to-day basis, you may ask? There are 4 jobs that rotate amongst the teams.

1.)  House- Cleaning the toilets/bucket showers, sweeping the pathways, taking care of the girls with Cerebral Palsy, taking care of the toddlers while the teens are in school, cooking lunch/dinner for everyone, cleaning the dishes, burning the trash…AKA I will never complain about my house chores again…

2.)  Construction- We could be painting the house, plastering walls with our HANDS, building bunk beds etc.

3.)  Village- We go out into the village and find 21 year old mothers (or younger) who are either pregnant or have a child less than 2 and collect their information. Gracie is working on a project to help more women and children who do not receive help from the fathers, and provide food for them monthly… So amazing to be a part of.

4.)  Float- This day is a day to float around to whichever team needs the most help. I have really enjoyed going back out into the village, but my costume design skills have come in handy- I was able to make a neck pillow for my girls  with Cerebral Palsy. I have also been able to translate testimonies the past two Wednesdays and the upcoming Wednesday on Gracie’s talk show… Thank you Lela for always forcing Lauren, Anthony and I to speak Spanish. You too Daddy-O and Nina :*

Everyone here has been hands on with every job thanks to the rotation. I will upload a video by the end of next week to show you what the ministry really looked like.
