O just another day in the Philippines. The kids are bathed in the street out of buckets of water as you can see. Even some of the older kids and adults bath in the street, fortunately they wear athletic shorts. Can you imagine not having running water to shower with, or a room to bath in privacy in?

Our ministry host's, Jeff Long, son plays basketball for the number 1 college team in the Philippines. Filipinos LOVE basketball. We have gotten free tickets to the game and get to take the kids. This is after Ateneo's win and advancement to the finals!

This is Arron. He got to come to the game with us. He is often at the bible studies I go to in one of the communities. He has such a gentle heart and I am so blessed to get to pour into him. There are very few positive male role models for the kids to look up to. O and that smile, it never leaves his face.

This is at one of the feedings that I sometimes get to go to. We take big tubs of food to a local neighborhood and feed the kids. They come out with anything you can think of to fill with food. The grimiest dirtiest cups, buckets, bowls, ect. that you can think of. It is the saddest thing ever to have to turn a child away because there isn't any food left.

One of the precious little girls from the feedings.

We got to read to the kids! The girls picked a disney princess book and I read them "Little Mermaid". I even got into the part were Arielle sings. They were fascinated by my leg hair which was really funny. With the singing that I did Im pretty sure they think Im crazy.

This is one of the little boys from the nursery down the street. There are a ton of kids there and they swarm you when you enter. The boys especially follow any male figure that comes into the room because they get no "fatherly" love. It is unbelievably sad and makes me appreciate the incredible father God has given me.

This is what most of the house look like in the Philippines. They cook over open fires and most of the time have flee bitten dogs or cats living among them. There are roosters every 5 feet! If you are walking down the street you better watch your step cause you might step into some poop, and you wont know if its dog or person….

Please pray for the people here to continue to find all their joy in Christ and the confident hope that we can have in an afterlife in heaven. Pray for comfort and contentment. Pray for health.
