Dear First United Presbyterian Church – Moline (FUPC),
While this may apply to many of my friends and family, this is specifically for my home church, FUPC, a group of people who I have been with my whole life, who have walked with me, encouraged me, strenghtened me, challenged me, and so much more throughout my entire life.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been home with you all. And it has reached a point of tension of wanting to spend time with you all and share all the memories and ministry that God is blessing me with but also staying present in the work of the Lord wherever I am at. How I long to teleport home, worship with you, help lead Choruses, and so much more, but how blessed I am to be sharing God’s Word all around the world. My life would look so different without you all and some days it is strange to think that I have hardly been a part of the church body with you all for the past year. You have taught me and grown me so much during my life, from how to be a child of God to how to be a man of God to how to be passionate for God and His people to how to worship to how to teach God’s Word and bless those around me and so much more. Whether you know it or not you all are the people who I know I can rely on, the people who always support me and walk with me in the good times and bad, who support all my endeavors that take me all over the world and challenge and grow my faith. You all are so great and I am blessed to call you family and to have been a part of your family for coming up on 26 years. You have always treated me as your actual family regardless of our relationship and I am so blessed to have learned from you all and worshipped with you for all those years, and to now be investing back in your lives and the lives of your children. It is a joy to call you family and as I have traveled it is something very special and blessed to have a church family that I am so close with and a family that I have spent my whole life being a part of. You are such people of faith and so strong in your beliefs and encouragement of those around you. Continue being prayer warriors, continue to worship the Lord in all you do, continue to transform the community around you for Christ, continue being a family to all those who may not be so blessed to have a good family. You all are great and I love you very much.
Thank you for teaching me God’s Word.
Thank you for teaching me to LOVE God’s Word.
Thank you for making life fun.
Thank you for giving me opportunities to grow and showcase my faith and the gifts that God has given me, from challenging me and celebrating when I memorized Romans 12 when I was 7 years old to inviting me to help lead worship and encouraging me in so many ways in my worship leading.
Thank you for leading by example.
Thank you for guiding me on a path to holiness.
Thank you for always believing in me.
Thank you for giving me such a strong foundation in Christ.
Thank you for beliving in me.
Thank you for being family.
Thank you for so many prayers, not just while I’ve been away, but while I’ve been with you.
Thank you for all of your financial support that allows me to participate in sharing the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
And thank you for so much more that I can scarcely mention.
Love you all!
