I was reading Judges yesterday and the first part of Judges 18:24 stood out to me. It reads, “And he said, ‘You take my gods that I made and the priest, and go away, and what have I left?'” And in this short verse the Lord spoke mightily to me. This is what He said to me that I wrote down,
How ironic. How sad.
You are an image bearer of the Most High
An image bearer of the King
The Creator of the Universe
The Almighty, The Great I Am
the King of all kings. The Lord of all Lords
you bear HIS image
but how ironic. How sad.
that you take a God that you have made
and worship that instead
making gods doesn’t give you more power
In fact, it gives you less you see
because that which is worshipped is greater than the worshipper
that’s how it always is
this… this is backwards
how can a creator (of anything) say to that which is created,
“You are greater than I am, I will worship and praise you”
It doesn’t work
you… you are better than that
because what you worship reveals your self worth
you are always LESS THAN that which you worship
and being an image bearer means you are only less than one thing
GOD… The Trinity… Father, Son, Spirit
Jesus Christ… The Lamb
So stop worshipping false God’s
stop worshipping that which you have created
boyfriends, girlfriends, money, sex, yourself
cars, houses, pets, family, celebrities
you put these things on pedestals
you think you are lifting them up when In fact you are merely putting yourself down
don’t lower yourself below the created
humble yourself before The Creator
In so doing you will reap great rewards
In so doing you may walk head high, chin up
declaring your place on Earth and In the Kingdom
you have nothing to fear
fear not, be strong and courageous
worship the one that Created
follow The Creator
Stop settling for less
stop lessening yourself and claiming humility
that’s not humility, that’s self deprivation
depriving yourself of the promises of the Father
the promises of Sonship, inheritance, Kingdom value
depriving yourself of all that God has to offer
you can never receive the fullness of God when you worship things created
you are better the this
you were created for more than this
you are royalty
you have destiny
You have been set free
you are gonna shake history
you are gonna change the world
by changing someone’s world
throw off the chains of lies, the chains of false gods that are holding you back
and live in all the promises and glory of the Father
You are deeply loved
you are greater than you imagine
you have more Spirit power than is comprehensible
you are not what Satan or the world says you are
you are a child of the Most High
and you worship HIM and HIM alone
because HE is the only thing worthy of praise
and by worshipping HIM you are claiming that nothing In this world is greater than you
Except HIM who created you
Now go and live like it
