Can you envision a world where cows are holy, animal sacrifices are a weekly occurrence and human cremations take place daily? I want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity God has presented to me. During January through November 2012 I will be going to eleven different countries on an extended mission’s trip with a group called The World Race.
Our eleven month trip will focus on many different cultures as we go to Ireland, Ukraine, and Russia in Europe, Kenya, Tanzania, and Mozambique in Africa, Inda, Nepal, and finally Cambodia, an undecided Asian Country, and Malaysia, in Asia. The purpose of our trip is fourfold:
- First, we will be allowing God to work in our lives through the personal enrichment that comes from this type of a mission trip.
- Second, we will work with Hindu, Buddhist, and Muslim people. Pray that God may open their eyes and hearts to the message of Jesus.
- Third, we will be visiting “unreached people groups” of which less than 1% is Christian. We will be working with these people groups to help them come to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.
- Fourth, we will encourage local Christians in countries we visit. Our presence will bolster their spirits and support their work. We will visit some small villages where we will develop relationships with the Christians there.
I'm excited about the opportunities and experiences that lie ahead. Most importantly, I ask for your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God's leading in ministry in these countries. Without prayer, nothing will happen. My prayer is that you will see the value in what we hope to accomplish.
As you can imagine, a trip like this will require financial support from a number of people. I need to raise $3,500 by April 5, 2012, $6,500 by June 17, 2012 and $15,500 by July 1, 2012.
