So, I know this is a really late blog, but I didn't want to totally forget about writing about Mozambique.

It was a nice month, with some definite hardships. Two of our teams were working together this month in the capitol of Mozambique. We were partnered with a great ministry called "Africa on Fire", a ministry that our contact had envisioned several years ago. Basically, on the weekends, what we would do is load up 6 massive speakers into the back of a trailer, lots of sound equipment, and then put all 12 of us World Racers in the back, too. We would drive to a nearby neighborhood, set up all the equipment, and then begin. We'd sing, preach, pray.

It was a modern day crusade.

People would come from all around to see what was going on. The Africans love their music, so they were quick to find out what all the singing was about. We would set everything up at least 3 nights in a row for 3-5 hours every night. Although not a lot of translating happened, you could definitely see that God was working there. We would average at least 60-100 people on any given night, and have tons of them lining up for prayers every night. It was great!

Unfortunately, several more of our teammates came down with malaria that month, including the whole family we were living with! The mosquitos were THICK and we ended up with a total of 8 people getting malaria!! For whatever reason, The Lord continues delivering me from that, so I will continuing throwing up thanks to Him! And to my 98% Deet.

(Its not a mosquito… but these things lived among us.)

We also spent our Christmas here in Mozambique! We did a little Secret Santa, danced to some American AND African Christmas music, and ate our own freshly killed chicken for dinner!! Enjoy some pictures!

Christmas "Sand"man!! 🙂

Have I ever mentioned how much I love my girls??

Just doing a little live nativity scene. We've got the three wise men in the back with their gifts, the angel on the chair, Mary cradling the baby Jesus, and Joseph there to comfort her.

The looong striped tube sock is mine 🙂 Sometimes on the WR, you just gotta work with what you got.

And our lovely little Christmas tree with all our Secret Santa presents underneath!!
