Warm tears rolled off her cheeks as I prayed. I had asked God to show me a picture of
how he viewed her. God showed me a picture
of a beautiful ruby reflecting bright light. I spoke that over her and affirmed how proud God was that his
radiance reflected off her. She
was beautiful, a special gem to the Lord.
This past weekend a group of 30 of us gathered in North Carolina
for another Round Table. It was
a time of deep prayer and worship with one another. We didn’t set an agenda but instead opened it up for the
Spirit’s leading.
On Friday night it was apparent that God wanted to
communicate to all of us about our individual identity in him. We spent time in listening prayer and
called out what we saw. Most
of the people I prayed for I had never met before which made it easy for God to
move through me instead what my flesh might perceive.
I was struck by how significant that evening was. To be known lies at the core of our
being. So often we travel
through life wondering who we really are.
Playing comparison games to self examine. But God knows exactly who we are. After all he even knows the
number of hairs on our head. *
The way we see ourselves and the way God does are often
very different. It is easy for
us to pick out our flaws and faults. But I think our glitches get buried under God’s
intense love for us as his prize creation.
Whose outlook defines you?
