I have less than a month until I go.

Which is actually starting to feel kinda crazy.

The last couple weeks have been up and down and all over the place as I’ve been celebrating birthdays and holidays with my family, saying goodbye to my best friend (who is now in Asia!), and wrapping my head around the idea that by this time next year (Lord willing), I will be coming home after traveling all over the world.

I can’t help but wonder how much God will have done in me and through me by this time next year. It’s a cool thought, but also pretty scary because I know I’m going to be stretched way outside of my comfort zone during this trip. And who willingly chooses to leave their comfort zone? That’s going to be tough.

In fact, this trip, as much as I’m excited for it, is going to be tough.

So I’ve devised a plan. I want letters. Letters of encouragement or Bible verses or just a simple letter that says ‘hey, I’m thinking about you right now’. Something for those moments on the trip where I’m feeling the weight of being completely outside my comfort zone or where I need a little taste of home or I just some plain old encouragement. Something for when I’m the weary, worn out (maybe even a little burnt out) traveler. Because life isn’t always going to be great on the Race. No matter where you go or what you’re doing, you’re going to have some bad days. And I want to be prepared. So write me a letter, please?

And yes, I know a letter isn’t going to make everything better on those not so great days, but I’m looking forward to seeing how God’s going to use them.

If you would like to send me a letter, you can either give one to me in person OR you can mail it to 501 East 3rd Street, Morris, MN 56267. If you mail the letter to me, please put 11n11 on the envelope so I don’t mistakenly open it before I leave!

And here’s some winter/frost pictures. At this moment, I can’t say I’m going to be missing the cold weather all that much.

“When it’s standing in front of you, and you take it and you pull it in, you see where you’re going to.  Lead your way, sing your song. Moving every day, goin’ further on.”

On a side note: I really enjoy that there’s a guy with a Pogo stick in this music video. Maybe I should Pogo stick to work?
