I’m on summer break! Well, almost. I still have to finish up one math class, but I can smell freedom. I am getting more and more excited to graduate every day. As graduation is drawing closer, I am planning out my summer. It is going to be packed summer. I have a few different trips planned, and I would like to keep you all in the know. So here is a few of my summer plans…

Bro Trip:

Last year I took a bunch of youth group friends on a weekend camping trip outside of Breckenridge, CO. I am planning the same trip this year, but it feels like it has more meaning this year. Most of us will be going all over the country (or all over the world) for college (or a gap year). Lord willing it is going to be a great and a memory for us all.

 VBB:

At my church VBB stands for Vacation Bible Blast, because that is really what it is under my Mom’s guidance. I will be running the tech side of things and helping her out as much as I can.

Deadline #2:

Another $3000 is due on June 23. I have $1000 dollars toward it now, I am still praying that God provides the other $2000 by the deadline.

BBQ Fundraiser:

I have rented a pavilion in Palmer Park and we are going to have a fundraiser extraordinary. There will be barbecue, bounce houses, snow cones, live music, and much, much more. I am going to invite my whole church and as many other people as I can to stop by and have some fun. I am praying that this event will get me close to fully funded, as this is after the second deadline but before the final deadline on August 23rd. It will be a ton of fun, so please come out if you are in town! The date is June 28th, more info will be coming out shortly. Please save the date and invite all of your friends!

 Cortez:

My high school youth group is going to Cortez, CO for a missions trip/ summer camp. We will be volunteering and serving with Youthworks Mission Group. The trip is a week long, and I am excited to go. It is the only time my three siblings and I will have a high school event all together. My sister Maddie is an incoming freshman and I am a graduate now. It will be fun to have all four of us there.

 Training Camp:

I’M SO EXCITED!!! I will spend a week an a half in Atlanta, GA meeting my fellow Racers and preparing to go on the World Race Gap Year. There are all sorts of crazy stories that I have read about training camp, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me that week.

Final Deadline:

August 23rd is the date I need to have all $12,488 in by. Please be praying, and thank you to all of those who have given! Your support means so much.

Well, that is some of what my summer looks like. There are lots of other things going on, such as working around 40 hours a week at Chickfila, getting all of my gear assembled, more fundraising, writing more blog posts, and spending time with my family, friends, and girlfriend. Throw in a possible family trip and Wild At Heart Retreat, and I am really booked. Regardless, I can’t wait for this summer, busy as it will be. I look forward to what God has to show me and teach me in all of the craziness. I pray that I glorify God in all I do, and I thank Him that I get to have these opportunities. God bless!
