Our ministry here in Antigua (and surrounding area) is amazing. We are ministering in a couple different capacities. We have been teaching the Word and biblical values in schools around middle-class Antigua and the impoverished surrounding areas. We’re also spending time at a hospital loving on the special-needs men, women and children from this area. I love it so much.

Brenda is a precious young girl with cerebral palsy. I walk in to the kid’s ward every-other day of the week and carve a direct path to her metal cage of a crib. I poke my nose between the cage bars and make a subtle, chirping bird noise into her ear. She turns her glazed-over gaze in my direction and gives the grandest smile I’ve ever seen. Her arms and legs are turned back on themselves and her left ankle is peeled backward at the base of her tibia. Her spine is curved, arched and constantly contracting. Her jaw, always clinched with teeth grinding. But, she still smiles.
I could be off, but it seems to me that Brenda doesn’t consider her perilous state such a problem. I conclude this because of her Joy. It’s soul-shaking just to behold her Joy.
I am responsible to show her the love of God. Though, she does the same with me. So, I touch her broken body. I whisper “Jesus” into her ear, and she smiles. I brush her sweaty hair off of her brow. I stretch and massage her crippled joints. I ask her if she can see angles, and sometimes she smiles at that, leaving me curious and full of wonder. I shake her bed and make an earthquake and tell her we’ve gotta get out of here.
She’s my daughter.
I have a daughter date on Monday.

Since this season of my life is coming to an end, I have been praying and seeking hard for God’s providence and direction in my life. I strongly believe that I need to be discipled in ministry and leadership in order to carry out one/some of my Kingdom dreams. I am applying to a couple ministry programs: Bethel School of Ministry in Redding, California and G42 Leadership Academy in Malaga, Spain. G42 is connected with The World Race, and as of now I am leaning in that direction.
I cannot get away from Daddy’s call on my life, and I dream of being beautifully faithful to the commission of Wonderful King, Jesus.
More information on this soon.

As always, seek the Love of God, today. And, know that He is standing open-handed with the gift of Grace in Christ Jesus, ready to give it to you in this moment. Go to Him.
