I have been in Kenya, Africa the past past week. The first two days I spent in Nairobi, Kenya with my whole squad. We stayed at a hostel while we edified each other and took care of some logistical aspects of our stay in Africa. After that, we took a 10 hour bus ride into the city of Busia, Kenya, directly on the border of Kenya and Uganda, north of lake Victoria.

If you have never been to Kenya, you should go, specifically Busia, Kenya. Then once you get here, you should ask for directions to Busia Deliverance Church. You will be welcomed and blessed beyond your imagination.
When my team arrived in Busia, Rev. Gideon and Pastor Steve put us in a house, complete with chef Lucas, and Dennis and Brian to help around the house. Wow. During the mornings and evenings, we have full blown feasts headed-up by chef Lucas. He makes everything from scratch. He buys and kills chickens. He hand rolls many chapati (wheat flour tortillas), and they are heavenly! He makes us donuts and fruit salad. He cooks the best lentil and rice ever! Brian and Dennis can be seen around the house gathering water or cleaning the bathroom. Pastor Steve shows us around town and takes us to ministry locations to serve alongside us. I mean…this is intense servanthood, and it is humbling.
These are brothers and sisters that truly care and serve the body.

So whats in store for us this month concerning ministry?
We are preaching, teaching and worshiping with local church bodies in Busia.
We are helping with construction at Busia deliverance church.
We will be doing door-to-door evangelism in the coming weeks.
During our last week of ministry, we will be “crusading” the surrounding area, meaning preaching, teaching and worshiping within the public, and through the work of the Spirit, bringing them to Christ.
