For those of you wondering what life is going to look like for me in this coming year, here is a Month to Month break down of where I’ll be, and what I’ll be doing possibly with my squad!

Month 1: ALBANIA [Shqipërisë]

 Albania

In Albania, we will possibly be working with Lighthouse International at a summer camp for 130 kids (mostly muslim) in a town called Ishull-Lezhe. We will be doing anything from construction, to maintenance, to children’s ministrys & activities. We will basically be supporting staff here to raise up kid’s in Christ, in a country where Christian camp is unheard of!

Month 2: TURKEY [Türkiye]

Turkey

In Turkey, we may be working to spread Christ in Istanbul with an extremely diverse church congregation called “Greater Grace.” since there are only 0.2% of Christians in Turkey we will be doing ministry outreach to a pro-dominant Muslim population! Istanbul is an epi-center of diversity and culture and is also a place known for human trafficking. God will use our team to spread the love of Christ to everyone we encounter!

Month 3: BULGARIA

Bulgaria

In Bulgaria, we could be in the town of Slevin, fellow-shipping with young adults at a local church, helping with Church services, and doing more maintenance. In another town We may be working with an organization called “Mission Possible” doing many things such as; working with gypsy children, training Sunday school teachers and pastors. They also published the first Bible in Bulgarian with maps, and now publish the only Christian magazine for women in the country. Vast ministry opportunities here!

Month 4: ROMANIA [România]

In Romania’s northern regions, we will possibly be teaching English, leading sports camps, and living life with gypsy communities. They are the ostracized and forgotten people group of Romania (even some churches do not interact with them). We are here to spread the love of Christ and walk as Jesus would walk, counter cultural to the current time! Other ministry opportunities in the town of Dragonesti-Olt may include: working in orphanages and partnering with local churches in outreach.

Month 5: SOUTH AFRICA [14 official languages]

South Africa

In South Africa, we will (most likely) be in the surrounding town of Port Elizabeth. Here we may be working with an organization called “The Human Dignity Center.” They take children from the worst of the worst situations in the townships and put them in their school! We may also work with another Lighthouse ministry in a local church, participating in local outreach, small groups, youth ministries and more.

Month 6: SWAZILAND [Umbuso waseSwatini]

Swaziland

Swaziland has the highest HIV/AIDS infection rate in the world. It is also home to Voodoo, witchcraft, and other cultural rituals. Here women are seen as property and child abuse is seen as normal. Here we are to be the light in the midst of true darkness. We may be working with a ministry where each racer walks life with a child, helping them with homework, food, chores, and talking them through life. Here God will shine as a constant refuge in the chaos. For an in depth look at this country check out this link to a current racer’s blog: Sex in Swaziland

Month 7: BOTSWANA [Lefatshe la Botswana]

 Botswana

We will spend time in villages, in and around the Kalahari Desert and near the border of South Africa. We may be working with a Missionary family there who works at a missions school. We may be clearing fields for food, working in the school with the children, sharing testimonies of Christ to others in surrounding villages. A previous team spent time doing prison ministries and aided staff at Abandoned Baby Nursery. Needless to say Christ will guide us through ministry as we walk in the desert!

Month 8: INDIA [Bharat Ganrajya]

India

In India, their are so many possiblities! We may be aiding in planting churches near the coast of the Bay of Bengal, or street evangelism to mostly hindu believers. We may be painting in hospitals and polio homes. Working in school ministries to help sponsor kids for their basic school and medical needs. Our journey may also include reaching out to the poor and working with organizations that fight Human trafficking/slavery.

Month 9: NEPAL

Nepal

Here we may be working with “Churches Network Nepal” in the city of Kathmandu. With this ministry we may be going house to house evangelizing  planting local churches or encouraging existing ones, distributing Bibles throughout villages, and working with a Bible conference. We may also help (with teaching Bible and computer classes) at a school that is currently being built to teach children there about Jesus!

Month 10: MONGOLIA

Mongolia

The majority of the Mongolian people are either nonreligious or Tibetan Buddhist, and the nation is in great need of missionaries to encourage the Christian population and help reach out to those still searching. It looks like we will be the first squad to set foot in Mongolia from the World Race! Here will be at the fore-front of starting up ministries in Mongolia. More info to come as we get closer to Launch Date

Month 11: CHINA

China

Our last month we will most likely be in and around the town of Harbin (the far northeast region). There we will encounter Buddhist, Muslim, and Taoist believers. We will be building relationships with those in and around the area, but mainly college students. Not much is spoken of about the ministry work as only “Three-self” Churches (government regulated) are allowed. We will possibly be working with an underground church, but will only know when we get there

So there you have it, my life for the next year starting in July! Living a life that I never would thought I would actually get to live out. Living a life that is not my own! I pray that you will join me on this Faith Journey, both in pray and financially. Every ministry will be unique and different. We may be sustaining a current ministry or paving the way for a new one! Whatever it may be, I praise God for this opportunity to give back, serve, and live out His calling in my Life.

Thank you all so very much for your support!

 So Much Amounts of Love,

 Nate DeLoof

P.S. > Next blog will be specifics on WAYS TO SUPPORT!
