"We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world"

-Buddha

WOW great quote huh? This pretty much sums up my life the past few years. Nate and I have really been learning a lot about our mind and what we think about ourselves sometimes can produce actions we don't like or 'know is not us'.

I'm sure everyone can relate to this:

– you are a failure.

-you are not good enough.

-you are worthless.

-and the typical one "I can't do it!"

Most of you know that Nate and I have a strange life. We are purposely trying to live out of the normal American box. Not that the American dream is wrong, we just want a different unique life where we want influence people to go after their dreams. Many times we have tried something and failed at it. Many times we have told ourselves we are failures because traveling the U.S. didn't go as planned and being 'youth pastors' didn't work out the way we wanted. Or how about the time we were going to start a youth center? <- uhhhh plans changed.

Often times we are extremely discouraged with how fundraising is going and how many people are actually sponsoring us. We tell ourselves the above negative statements and we look at our past 'failures' and we think that is what is going to determine our future dreams.

NO JOKE PEEPS

It all has to do with our mind! If we believe we are going to fail at something we will, If we tell ourselves we are dirty rotten no good sinners, we are going to be. So what needs to be said?

– We are MORE than conquerors.

-We are LOVED.

– We are worth it.

-And of course WE CAN DO IT!

I have felt like giving up on this whole World Race thing because I see our account going no where… but you know what, I'm not. I cant give up!

Colonel Sanders the founder of KFC had 1,009 "No's" before he got a yes for his chicken recipe.

If Colonel Sanders can do it…….. SO CAN WE!

Thanks everyone for reading =).

With LOVE,

Jess
