This blog entry is dedicated to future World Racers.
Other than this being my first time this week I’ve had a chance to sit down and type a blog, this is also the very first blog assignment I was given! I can’t believe I’ve been here for only 4 days! It feels like 4 weeks! We have done/learned so much stuff in the past few days it’s unbelievable! I’ve exercised more, eaten differently, and slept less than I ever have. But that’s a good thing in my world! I’m telling you, this camp is awesome. The leaders are so serious about getting us prepared for this trip! Everything we do has something to do with what we will encounter on the Race. Every meal, gathering, event,  or whatever we do is a learning experience. They don’t waste any time, that’s for sure. But the cool thing is, even though you may be tired, smelly, or sore, you still want to keep going! Not to mention you get to meet your amazing squad and start forming relationships. I mean, you’re going to walk up to some people and just immediately hit it off. It’s so cool. Then you are all going to praise and worship together and you’ll just realize that you are surrounded by the most amazing people. They love the Lord, and they are so open to hearing Him and just giving up everything to share Him with the world. It’s a wonderful feeling to just be standing in a group of 200 young adults just jumping up and down, raising your hands, whatever you do as you listen to the amazing praise band, and not feeling weird or our of place.

I remember when we were driving down to camp, and we were just talking about what to expect, then when we got here, it just blew away our expectations. I think the main reason is because the people here are so awesome. We are so pumped up… we’ve done some really cool things together as a squad and today we started doing some activities as small teams as we start the process of forming our small teams. It’s pretty cool, the staff is so caring and helpful with the whole process. I think the hardest part for me is to only have 6 team mates out of my squad because I like everyone so much!

If I had to give advice to a future World Racer in a sentence, it would be: God is calling you to do this, open your heart and mind and trust Him! I’m already having the time of my life and it’s just DAY 4 OF TRAINING CAMP!!
